Nigeria is one of the most dangerous places in the world for Christians to live and practice their faith. To protect Christians, VPP operates the “Vulnerable Parish Project” in Nigeria and Malawi, which gives seminaries, convents, hospitals, and churches grants to hire full-time security guards and purchase security equipment like CCTV. Just $350 a month secures Christians living and worshipping in these places from Islamist terrorists. So far, we have secured over 15 parishes, convents, seminaries, and hospitals.

In Palestine, VPP is serving the Christian community who has bravely chosen to remain and continue their legacy, as the descendants of the first converts to Christianity. With the war continuing to rage, food and jobs are scarce. After helping many vulnerable escape the war, VPP has been proud to continue to organize food trucks into the Gaza war zone and launch a job training program in the West Bank’s Bethlehem.

When the war broke out in Ukraine, VPP was one of the first on the ground raising funds to get medical supplies to those who couldn’t flee as well as fund emergency shelters for women and children sent to Poland to escape the fighting. Then, we helped launch an international landmine removal operation within the war-torn nation.

After the Biden Administration’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, many Afghan families who chose to serve with the United States were left stranded and at risk. VPP was honored to coordinate the escape of many former U.S. allies into safe houses in neighboring countries and fight to secure them VISAS. Now, we are one of the only NGOs allowed to operate in the nation, serving remote communities by building wells and healthcare facilities for women as well as funding the only schools still operating for girls.
