The Vulnerable People Project, a project of the Human Rights Education Organization (H.E.R.O.) Inc., continues to operate a safe house of 109 former Afghan citizens who previously aided the U.S. military. They cannot return to Afghanistan as it will mean arrest or death, but they are no longer safe in our safe house in a neighboring country due to political unrest. We must help resettle each one of these vulnerable people in the next few weeks. It will cost us at least $2,000 per person to relocate them to their new home country.
